学术报告:Recent Trials of Young Materials towards Concrete-Filled Steel Tubular Columns

学术报告内容:

The bright, easily maintained surface of stainless steel, as well as its excellent corrosion and fire resistance, high degree recyclability and better mechanical properties, provides an attractive and contemporary appearance, ideal for a wide and growing range of applications in civil engineering. However, the stainless steel making process generate large amount of by-products (i.e. steel slag) which causes serious environment pollution. This talk will discuss the use of different types of stainless steel slag as coarse/fine aggregate and cement replacement in concrete. Apart from significant economic and environmental benefits, steel slag contains free lime (CaO) that can result in volumetric instability (expansion) in concrete. As concrete is passively confined by the stainless steel tube in concrete-filled stainless steel tubular (CFSST) columns. Thus steel slag concrete can be safely used in CFSST columns without the concern of concrete instability. By using those young materials, the corrosion and fire resistance of CFST columns can be well improved.

不锈钢由于其明亮美观且易于维护的表面、优秀的耐腐蚀和耐火性能、高度可循环使用性及合理的力学性能使得其在土木工程中的运用越来越广泛。但是不锈钢冶炼过程中会产生大量的钢渣易对环境造成污染。本次报告旨在讨论各类不锈钢渣用作混凝土中粗细骨料及胶凝材料替代的可行性。而钢渣中的游离氧化钙易致的混凝土体积安定性不良(膨胀)。但若将不锈钢渣混凝土运用到不锈钢管混凝土中,其体积膨胀的问题不仅可以被外钢管约束住,而且可以某种程度上提高钢管混凝土的约束效应,起到一举两得的效果。同时利用两类新材料还可有效提升钢管混凝土结构的抗腐蚀和抗火性能。

余鑫博士简介

Dr. Xin Yu is an Assistant Professor at College of Civil Engineering, Fuzhou University. Before join in Fuzhou University in 2018, he used to work in National University of Singapore as a Research Engineer from 2010 to 2013. Between 2013 and 2017, he received an Australian International Top-up Scholarship to study at Western Sydney University and obtained his PhD degree in 2017. His research interests are steel and concrete composite structure, new construction materials, structural fire engineering. He has published 17 papers including 5 in SCI/EI. Dr. Yu currently hosts several projects such as National Natural Science Foundation of China, Natural Science Foundation of Fujian Province, Talents start fund of Fuzhou University and participate in Singapore A*Star fund and Australia ARC Discovery Grant. He currently also serves as member of director in Stainless steel industrial innovation center of Fujian Province.

余鑫博士是福州大学土木工程学院的助理教授。在2018年入职福州大学前,他于2010-2013年加入新加坡国立大学从事研究工程师工作,在2013-2017年获得澳大利亚政府全额奖学金资助赴澳大利亚西悉尼大学攻读博士并于20179月取得博士学位。他的研究兴趣主要包括钢与混凝土组合结构、新型土木工程材料和结构抗火方面。余鑫博士已发表论文17篇包括5SCI/EI检索。目前主持国家自然科学基金青年基金一项、福建省自然科学基金面上项目一项、福州大学引进人才科研启动基金一项和福建工程学院重点科研创新平台开放基金项目一项。同时参与新加坡 A*Star基金项目和澳大利亚ARC Discovery Grant的相关研究工作。目前余鑫博士为福建省土木建筑协会青年工作委员会秘书长和福建省不锈钢产业创新中心理事。
