The 4th International Academic Symposium of ACF2022- ETSL

Introduction

The 4th Asian Concrete Federation (ACF) Symposium on Emerging Technologies for Structural Longevity (ACF2022-ETSL) will be held in Shenzhen, China on 27-29 November 2022. “ACF2022-ETSL” is the official conference series of the Asian Concrete Federation (ACF).

The Asian Concrete Federation (ACF) was officially established in 2004, as rapid growth in the Asian Region led to the generation of a tremendous amount of research and practical information, as well as the development and adoption of new technologies for concrete structures. Since its establishment in 2004, ACF has held international conferences every 2 years in various Asian countries. These conferences have served as a good venue for information exchange and other activities, such as technical meetings of related committees and social meetings of participants. During the 6th ACF Conference, held in Seoul, South Korea, in 2014, it was decided to organize an “ACF Symposium” in alternate years to the ACF Conference. The 1st ACF Symposium on “Ultra High Performance Concrete” was held in Kolkata, India (October 7, 2015), the 2nd ACF Symposium on “Innovations for Sustainable Concrete Infrastructures” was held in Chiang Mai, Thailand (November 23-25, 2017), and the 3rd ACF Symposium on “Assessment and Intervention of Existing Structures” was held in Sapporo, Japan (September 10-11, 2019).

The “ACF2022-ETSL” will be jointly hosted by the College of Civil and Transportation Engineering (CCTE) of Shenzhen University and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Following the well-established tradition of the ACF conference series, “ACF2022-ETSL” will provide an international forum for all concerned with sustainability of concrete infrastructure to exchange recent advances in both research and practice, and to strengthen international collaboration for the future development of the field.
